Moscow, 08.10.2018 – Group-IB, an international company that specializes in preventing cyber attacks, announces the sixth international conference CyberCrimeCon 2018. This year’s event is bringing together representatives from INTERPOL and cyber police from different countries. CyberCrimeCon 2018 will focus on international cybercrime trends and forecasts, including for the crypto industry, as well as the analysis of the most dangerous hacking groups’ attacks.
CyberCrimeCon 2018, that became one of the most anticipated cybersecurity events in a very short time, assembles top industry experts who will share their experience, insights and approach in the fight against cybercrime in public and private sectors.
The conference will bring together more than 1000 cybersecurity experts from Europe, Middle East and Asia who will take a deep dive into their research of cyber threats, analyze new tactics and tools of hacking groups, and disclose the investigations’ findings of the most high-profile cyber-heists of the year.
CyberCrimeCon 2018 will have a separate panel discussion on global exchange of strategic Threat Intelligence data. Data obtained through Threat Intelligence will form the basis of information security strategies of private companies and government organization for the next few years.

For the first time, Group-IB conference will have global cyber terrorism issues and protection of critical infrastructure on the agenda. Traditionally, the conference will assemble representatives from INTERPOL and cyber police from different countries, banks, IT-vendors, telecommunications and cybersecurity companies.

This year Group-IB has decided to hold a two-day conference, considering broad resonance of the past years’ events. The first day of the conference will be dedicated to cybercrime trends and forecast for the next year, technologies used for the protection of critical infrastructure and cross-border exchange of strategic Threat Intelligence. Attendees will learn the best practices in intellectual property protection in the Internet and fight against counterfeiting.
The conference has a separate session dedicated to cybersecurity of the crypto industry, which has been one of the major themes over the last few years. Some hacker groups turned their attention from banks to blockchain projects, cryptocurrency exchanges, and crypto funds that are more vulnerable to cyber attacks.
The second day will focus on the details of the most high-profile cyber-heists of the year, tactics and tools deployed in the latest cyber attacks and solutions for their detection.
