Another digital asset exchange has moved to tap Dubai’s crypto-friendly regulatory landscape, with plans to expand in the region. 

Crypto asset service provider CoinMENA FZE has obtained a VASP license for virtual asset Broker-Dealer services from Dubai's VARA.

In a Nov. 8 post released on X, Open Exchange (OPNX) shares the announcement of their latest regulatory milestone in Europe.

WadzPay, a technology provider that facilitates virtual asset-based payments has shared the news that they have initial approval from Duba’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), the competent entity in charge of regulating, supervising, and overseeing VAs and VA Activities.

Backpack, a leading provider of blockchain-based financial services, has announced the launch of its cryptocurrency exchange, Backpack Exchange.

In an Oct. 19 post on X, Bitpanda, the European crypto exchange, announced their receipt of a VASP license in Norway. This makes the exchange the first non-local entity to achieve this milestone. 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government financial regulatory body has stated that it would begin accepting license applications from businesses that want to offer virtual asset services inside the UAE.

Yellow Card has become the continent's first crypto firm to receive a virtual asset service provider (VASP) license in Botswana.
