We’re very excited to work with the team to tackle what a play-to-earn world might look like,” she added.

Blast Royale is built on the Polygon L2 chain and is set to be released as a testnet at the end of Q2. Players will be able to equip their characters with NFT items and participate in Battle Royales, where they can earn ‘’Craft Spice’’ to upgrade and improve their equipment.
Furthermore, a competitive metagame layer has been added to the game providing players strategic agency over the optimal loadout ahead of battles. First Light Games also intends to launch tournaments and highstake Blast Royales during the year as part of its push into esports.
