Blockchain-based P2P Food Marketplace Bistroo (BIST) Unveils Support for Crypto Payments
Blockchain-based peer-to-peer food ecosystem Bistroo today introduced support for merchant payments in bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), litecoin (LTC), and bitcoin cash (BCH).
Bistroo Introduces Support for Crypto Payments
In an announcement made today, blockchain-powered P2P marketplace for food and beverages Bistroo (BIST) stated that its merchants can now accept payments in leading cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH and BNB.
The support for the aforementioned cryptocurrencies offers Bistroo users more options to pay for the platform’s products and services, along with the option to pay with fiat currency and the Bistroo’s native token BIST.
Notably, Bistroo raised more than $8 million in May 2021 and subsequently partnered with Coinpayments to enable BIST token holders to spend the token at any of Coinpayments’ 100,000 merchants in more than 200 countries the world over.
In a bid to foster cryptocurrency adoption, Bistroo currently does not charge commission on all crypto payments to ensure the merchants receive most of their returns while consumers get to enjoy a discount on their order. Further, if a customer chooses to pay with BIST, they get to enjoy a higher discount.
