BlockWallet Unveils Its Web3-Based, Privacy-Preserving Browser Wallet

BlockWallet, a leading private, non-custodial browser extension wallet today announced the launch of its Web3-compatible wallet solution with enhanced built-in privacy features, a press release shared with crypto.news reads.

BlockWallet Unveils Privacy-oriented, Web3 Wallet

BlockWallet’s latest version is now available for download to users. It aims to change the way people interact with Web3 and decentralized applications (dApps) via a robust browser-based solution.

Despite the wide range of crypto wallets available in the market today, the vast majority of them lack privacy-preserving features that can expose user information to prying eyes.

BlockWallet aims to change this.

BlockWallet’s Web3-based crypto wallet recognizes the ethos of Web3 and empowers users to give them complete control over their data.

Commenting on the development, Iman Hossini, CTO, BlockWallet, said:

“When users interact with Web3, it poses significant risks because now the financial data is also attached to the user. As we build Web3, we should not make the same errors as before but aim to create a truly private Web3 experience. BlockWallet launch is a significant step towards this goal.”

Notably, users can download the BlockWallet browser extension for any of the leading web browsers such as Google Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.

BlockWallet promises the following features to its users:

  • Privately sending and receiving cryptocurrency without disclosing the balance of the main wallet
  • Non-custodial wallet approach to ensure users are the only ones who control funds
  • Convenient access to decentralized applications across multiple blockchains
  • BlockWallet Proxy lets users privately interact with blockchain applications to avoid unveiling IP addresses and other metadata
  • Front-running bot protection (sandwich attack prevention)
  • Mask your main wallet address through integrated Privacy Pools (currently only available on Ethereum)
  • Support for Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Avax, Fantom, and Polygon

A Crucial Milestone for the BlockWallet Team

Although BlockWallet’s public launch signifies an important milestone for the team, it is only the first iteration of the product that users can expect moving forward. A wide array of new features, such as NFT drops, implementing phishing prevention, and others, are primed to be released soon.

Further, the team at BlockWallet plans to bolster user privacy on all fronts and guarantee an optimal security-focused Web3 experience for all users.

By using BlockWallet, users can benefit from a variety of options such as private transfers and ENS domains, trading privacy, ecommerce privacy, private gambling, and more.

It’s worth highlighting the BlockWallet solution has gone through extensive beta testing round. More than 2,000 community members applied for the wallet’s beta testing and offered the team as much constructive feedback as possible.

BlockWallet CEO, Aleksandras Gaska, notes:

“In a world where privacy violations are commonplace, it is imperative to protect your privacy. However, not everyone has the skills or time to do that. I am happy that we can finally present a practical solution for the blockchain world that allows everyone and everywhere to take ownership of their privacy.”

In November 2021, BlockWallet introduced a community bug bounty program via Immunefi with a maximum bounty of $150,000.

Further, BlockWallet raised $1.8 million in its initial funding round in early 2021, noting an oversubscription of 68x. Investors in the $BLANK token private sale include X21 Digital, Woodstock, Spark Digital Capital, Four Season Ventures, and others.

The $BLANK token was launched on Polkastarter and currently commands a market cap of more than $15 million, according to data from CoinGecko.
