To further the research of quantum computing and financial technology, fintech firm Creed&Bear has joined hands with the United Arab Emirates’ educational institution, Abu Dhabi University, and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The computational power one can achieve through quantum computing is unimaginable today, exceeding the capabilities of even the most advanced classical machines.

Leveraging quantum mechanics to tackle problems that would otherwise be intractable, quantum computing can open doors to groundbreaking discoveries across diverse fields.

Because of the technology’s sophistication and the niche’s specificity, only a handful of businesses in the Middle East invest in its research and development. Creed&Bear is one of them.

Creed&Bear joins hands with Abu Dhabi University to further research in quantum computing and AI - 1

The collaboration between the two powerhouses is set to open doors for students to gain industrial exposure through internships in quantum technology, AI, and ML at Creed&Bear.

The MoU represents the mutual understanding for a better tomorrow through extensive research and collaboration on fintech.

The company will also be extending grants to work on research projects in the field of AI and ML in a bid to encourage the youth to explore the prospects of Quantum Computing, ML, and AI.

Additionally, joint workshops, conferences, training programs, and even consultancy-based projects will be conducted to disseminate Quantum Tech and AI’s real-world applications in finance.

Flavio Villa, board member and chief technology officer of Creed & Bear, and Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU, signed the MoU in the presence of the leadership of both entities.

The agreement ushers in a world of possibilities for not just the industry but also the students of the university, especially in terms of job prospects.

In light of the recent integration of AI into tech stacks worldwide, students who understand it more innately will be able to wield it better.

On the collaboration, Villa shared:

“This partnership is more than a strategic agreement; it is a bridge between cultures, a dialogue between curious minds, and a synergy between pioneers eager to explore the unknown. Today, we join forces with an ally who shares our vision and values, and that brings me great joy.”

The associate provost for Research and Academic Development at ADU, professor Montasir Qasymeh, said:

“Our collaboration with esteemed partners, such as Creed&Bear, aligns with our commitment to advancing education and research in fintech and quantum technologies. Through ADU’s robust ties between academia and industry leaders, we can effectively fulfill our mission of providing our students with diverse learning experiences, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.”

On the partnership’s potential to fuel advances in quantum computing, Vaidehi Gawande, head of quantum computing at Creed&Bear, revealed:

“This partnership marks a significant step towards advancing the frontiers of quantum computing and accelerating innovations that will shape the future. Together, we can unlock the potential of quantum technologies and Fintech and pave the way for groundbreaking discoveries.”
