Algorand (ALGO)

Algorand is a decentralized, secure, and scalable blockchain with ALGO coins as its cryptocurrency. It was developed by MIT Professor Silvio Micali to solve many of the problems faced by more traditional cryptos.

 What sets it apart from other blockchains is that a block is agreed upon by a random selection of tokens before the production of the next block begins. This eliminates the problem of forking.
