Earn Crypto for Watching TV Show
The wide variety of use-cases of blockchain technology include those in the entertainment industry.
Against that backdrop, Cudos, a multi-chain layer 2 solution has entered into a partnership with an upcoming crypto-based TV series dubbed HODL (Hold On for Dear Life) that is poised to air in 2022.
Notably, the aforementioned partnership also involves Sator, a new fan engagement token primed for release in August 2021.
For the uninitiated, HODL is a scripted comedy series that captures the lives and adventures of two friends who try to tackle the hurdles in their quest to launch an initial coin offering (ICO) of their Aveer token which is named after their lost friend.
HODL has allied with Cudos and Sator to reward viewers with tokens for watching the show. What’s more, the recipients of these Sator tokens will be able to use them to bid on the show’s NFTs and even win a chance to be a part of the show’s storylines.
Commenting on the development, Chris Martin, HODL’s writer and Executive Producer, said:
“We’re thrilled to integrate Cudo given our show’s authenticity. HODL reflects actual crypto life–all its drama and comedy. This stuff writes itself. Including real crypto brands, like Cudo, adds to the show’s tapestry and truth.”
Cudos offers a bridge that connects on-chain and off-chain infrastructure to facilitate blockchain-based businesses to seamlessly access real-world data. The decentralized cloud computing network integrates with Cudos to enable blockchain-enabled ecosystems to use specialized hardware on-demand, requested directly on-chain via smart contracts.
A Look Into Cudos’ Sustainable Global Computing Power
The finer details of the partnership with HODL and Sator indicate that Cudos will offer its sustainable global computing power to efficiently handle SATOR token payouts to viewers while simultaneously aiding HODL to get closer to a wider audience and foster higher engagement.
Soon after the show starts airing, Cudos will also showcase its Cudo Miner application in addition to playing an active role in sharing new ideas that fall in line with HODL’s storyline.
Further, the partnership also allows HODL viewers to download the Cudo Miner app and earn additional SATOR tokens. Viewers can earn these tokens by offering their spare computing resources to Cudos’ global computing network which is made of underutilized resources shared by millions of existing users the world over.
Pete Hill, VP of Sales, Cudos, says:
“Blockchain and crypto is on the cusp of mainstream adoption and in collaboration with HODL and Sator, we are determined to accelerate that adoption providing an upwards target of 50 million people globally, with the tool to embrace the technology.”
Adding:
“Owning a unique or scarce digital collectible of your favourite show actor or maybe even the director’s chair is extremely enticing to fans and the fact we now have the tech to be able to pay for that using your computing power is incredible. This is all about fan engagement and that is why we had no hesitation in partnering with HODL and Sator.”
