Energy-Efficient Tezos (XTZ) becomes the Official Blockchain of FloSports With a Multi-Year Partnership
The leading subscription video streaming service for sports, FloSports today announced it had selected the world’s top blockchain Tezos (XTZ) as its Official Blockchain.
FloSports Chooses Tezos as Official Blockchain
The multi-year technical partnership involves several arrangements such as the development of FloSports’ NFTs fan experiences on the Tezos blockchain.
In addition, Tezos will also benefit from prominent branding in FloSports’ owned-and-operated events and other live streaming events across a wide array of categories such as motorsports, grappling, and wrestling.
Notably, the partnership with FloSports is Tezos’ first sports streaming partnership and is primed to run through at least 2024.
For the uninitiated, Tezos is the world’s greenest open-source smart contracts platform for digital assets and decentralized applications (dApps). Tezos’ efficient on-chain governance and technological upgrades help the blockchain reign supreme among its competition.
Despite Tezos’ exponential growth in recent times, its on-chain governance allows the network’s transaction fees to remain low. Contrary to the traditional Proof-of-Work blockchains such as Bitcoin (BTC), Tezos leverages its innovative Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm to operate in an eco-friendly way with negligible carbon footprint.
Proof-of-Stake blockchains typically require only a tiny fraction of energy to secure their networks compared to the energy-intensive Proof-of-Work blockchains.
What Does the Partnership Entail?
The alliance will see Tezos become the Title Sponsor for FloSports’ popular owned-and-operated grappling event series, Tezos Who’s Number One (WNO), and several other high-profile motorcycle events to be announced soon.
Further, the Tezos logo will be incorporated at all touchpoints of the WNO brand that include logo integration, co-branded marketing materials, on-site activations, in-stream graphic packages (commercials, verbal mentions/ad reads, lower thirds, graphical wipes, etc).
Besides, Tezos will also become a Presenting Sponsor for other grappling, wrestling, and motorsports events available on FloSports over the coming two years.
Moreover, the partnership will witness FloSports launch its first-ever NFT collection on the Tezos blockchain that will unlock a whole host of exciting and unique experiences for fans.
At present, the teams plan to develop NFTs to include experiences around live events, athletes, and memorabilia. More details about the NFT collection will be shared soon.
