Gluwa Successfully Sends First Payout to Bond Account Investors
Gluwa Invest has announced that it has successfully paid out a total of $32,866 sUSDC-G to its investors. The payment was made to those who invested in the projects Gluwa Invest Bond Accounts which was launched last September.
Gluwa Investors Get First Payout
Gluwa, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that claims to be focused on fostering global financial inclusivity by providing everyone with fair access to currencies across the world, has reached a significant milestone in its project.
Per a press release shared with BTCManager, Gluwa has successfully sent out the first payouts to investors who invested in the recently-launched Gluwa Invest Bond Accounts. The team claims it paid a total of $32,866 in interest on a total of $1.11 million invested by 72 primary investors.
Participants of the program invested an average of $10,006 sUSDC-G in 112 total Bond Account transactions, with the largest single investment of $362,000. The Gluwa Invest Bond Account comes with a maximum total investment cap of $1.5 million, however, the team plans to make it unlimited soon.
With Gluwa, private investors and regular cryptocurrency holders can easily convert their idle coins into real-world lending liquidity and earn decent yields, while helping those in emerging markets.
The Gluwa Bond Account is a short, fixed-term, and high-yield interest-bearing account where investors commit to a three-month contract that generates a guaranteed annual percentage yield of 12 percent or three percent over the period of each contract. The bond contracts are powered by Ethereum but implemented via the Luniverse sidechain to reduce transaction fees.
Gluwa Giving the Unbanked and Underbanked a Lifeline
Per the team, the funds invested in the Gluwa Bond Account are used to provide liquidity to its partners, as well as credit opportunities and credit lines for unbanked and underbanked individuals who find it difficult to access financing.
Gluwa loans are designed to enable these unbanked and underbanked individuals to launch their own businesses or fund other pressing needs.
The team has hinted that it’s making serious plans to roll out more investment opportunities for the crypto ecosystem, including no fixed-term Savings Accounts with a guaranteed APY of five percent and Prize-Linked Savings Accounts that will function as lossless lottery-style accounts where investors “play for much larger prizes based on the collective interest earned from Gluwa’s entire liquidity pool.”
