A week-long builder retreat near Cannes, Oz City brings together developers and founders to prototype AI-native Web3 applications, with a focus on agentic systems and decentralized intelligence.
Epic Web3 is proud to announce Oz City, a week-long pop-up builder village focused on the convergence of AI and Web3. Taking place June 21–29 in Valbonne, a forested area near Cannes, Oz City invites 80 curated participants — including developers, researchers, and founders — to co-live, co-build, and test agentic ideas in the wild.
More than just co-living: Oz City combines hands-on experimentation with immersive community, from fireside sessions and outdoor demos to structured building time supported by investors, mentors, and protocol teams.

Oz City offers a week of hands-on prototyping, daily feedback from investors and domain experts, and curated talks that focus on what’s next in decentralized intelligence.
As part of the week, Oz City will host Oz Builder Day on June 27–28, a 24-hour hackathon where participants will prototype and ship agentic and AI-native applications. The hackathon features two tracks:Â
- Builders Track – for new projects launched from scratch
- Founders Track – for existing projects shipping features, testing business models, or refining GTM strategies
This year’s edition introduces an exclusive partnership with NEAR, the Blockchain for AI, which will host a dedicated track titled “The Agentic Internet: Building AI-Powered Web3 Apps.” This track explores how NEAR’s ecosystem empowers developers to build intelligent applications using NEAR AI, Shade Agents, and chain abstraction tools designed to simplify user experiences and enable user-owned AI.
The NEAR Track includes:
- Workshops on building with intents and deploying agents using Shade
- Office hours and live debugging with NEAR core engineers and Aurora/Proximity teams
- Technical Q&A sessions with NEAR DevRel
- Demo Day & Jury, with NEAR representatives evaluating projects on AI integration, technical depth, and ecosystem fit
Builders will explore how autonomous agents can parse user goals and interact with hybrid infrastructure, including sessions on DeFi agents for risk rebalancing, AI NPCs in GameFi, and adaptive interfaces in public goods.
Participation is free for selected builders. Spots are limited.
