Tezos partners with game and VR/AR development software giant Unity

The Tezos Foundation partnered with game engine developer Unity to provide blockchain integration solutions to the software used to develop video games and virtual and augmented reality applications.

According to a Nov. 25 announcement, the Tezos Foundation and the Tezos Ecosystem teams aim to develop a Web3 Blockchain software development kit (SDK) to provide as an optional plug-in via the Unity Asset Store for Web3 game development. The Tezos Foundation claims that “this is the first comprehensive blockchain SDK co-developed with Unity.”

Tezos developers plan to develop the SDK to be compatible with desktops as well as mobile devices — both Android and iOS-based — as well ass browser applications. The announcement reads:

“Beyond allowing game developers to interact with the Tezos blockchain, this SDK will be a helpful resource for developing any Tezos decentralized application.”
