TRON Partners Refereum to Enable Video Game Streamers Earn Passive TRX, BTT Tokens
In a press release issued on April 2, 2020, blockchain project TRON (TRX) announced that it had partnered with gaming platform Refereum, enabling TRX and BitTorrent Token (BTT) to be earned by video game streamers.
TRON Adds Another Partnership to Its Resume
In a bid to promote the use of digital tokens among video game streamers, TRON has inked a deal with gaming platform Refereum to give the latter’s users an opportunity to earn two of the most liquid and versatile cryptocurrencies today – TRX and BTT.
This partnership comes at a time when the vast majority of people around the world are staying indoors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the partnership is to help users generate a stream of passive income by encouraging them what they like to do the best – playing and streaming video games.
Notably, in December 2019, Refereum had partnered with distributed ledger technology (DLT) platform DLive to roll out its digital token rewards for more than six million gamers across the globe. Now, with the newly forged partnership with TRON, Refereum has paved yet another method for users to earn TRX and BTT tokens sitting in their homes.
Per the press release, through April, users who join Refereum, watch video game streamers on DLive, and retweet specific content will be gifted “loot crates” comprising TRX and game codes.
Commenting on the development, Dylan Jones, CEO, Refereum, said:
“It’s our hope that through this partnership with TRON and DLive we can make time at home more interesting for millions of people by offering rewards for watching game streams.“
Similar sentiments were echoed by DLive CEO, Charles Wayn. He said:
“At DLive, we want to do our part in helping stop the spread and contain the Coronavirus. Stay indoors, watch your favorite streamers on DLive, and earn rewards! Let’s have some fun and enjoy some great live-streaming content!“
