US court ruling favors Grayscale as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and VC Spectra surge
Despite recent market weaknesses, some coins are floating higher. Bitcoin (BTC) found support from a recent court ruling favoring Grayscale over the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
At the same time, Ethereum (ETH) upgraded its execution layer specification while the ongoing VC Spectra (SPCT) public presale is being considered by investors.
This article discusses the impact of the Grayscale court victory on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and VC Spectra.
Grayscale’s win boosts Bitcoin
Bitcoin surged from $25,912 to $28,089, rising 8.4% a few hours after a court ruled in favor of Grayscale on Aug. 29, 2023.
Beyond supporting the world’s largest crypto by market cap, ETH and other tokens spiked.
The Bitcoin community remains bullish, expecting more gains in the sessions ahead.
Ethereum launches new execution layer specification
The Ethereum Execution Layer Specification (EELS) was introduced on Aug. 29, 2023. It is a Python-based reference implementation designed for its execution client.
This upgrade was supported by ConsenSys’ Quilt team and the Ethereum Foundation.
EELS strives to be a user-friendly successor to the Yellow Paper, focusing on programmer convenience.
This launch of EELS signifies a significant stride in the ongoing mission of Ethereum to enhance the accessibility and comprehensibility of its execution layer.
Following this release, ETH prices rose from 6.2% from $1,639 to $1,742.
Analysts predict ETH to reach $1,800 in the coming months.
VC Spectra posting gains
Like Bitcoin and Ethereum, VC Spectra is another project investors are exploring.
VC Spectra is a decentralized investment management platform that offers real-world utility and even investment opportunities.
Its native token, SPCT, is a BRC-20 token on Bitcoin that is also deflationary. SPCT holders receive quarterly dividends and buybacks.
In the ongoing VC Spectra presale, SPCT is available for $0.025. Stage 1 presale investors are already up 212.5% at this point.
In stage 4, SPCT prices will rise to $0.033, a 32% increase from the previous phase.
Eventually, supporters expect SPCT to reach $0.08 when the presale concludes.
At this rate, stage 3 participants will be up 220%; a prediction that could explain rising demand in the ongoing presale.
