NBX 2023 Berlin: highlighting web3 innovation in Europe

Europe’s blockchain and web3 assembly, the Next Block Expo (NBX), has announced its return to Berlin on Dec. 4 to 5, 2023. Celebrated as a convergence of pioneers, investors, regulators, and innovators, NBX is again set to highlight tech-driven networking and learning in the European web3 landscape. 

Looking back at last year’s success, it drew 2,039 attendees from 64 countries. This year’s NBX event aims to match that achievement. Since its inception in 2022, it has featured 322 investors, 140 startups, and 113 women in web3, all contributing to its history.

The 2023 edition will see Animoca Brands, represented by CEO Robby Yung, Coinbase, Polygon, Binance, Internet Computer Protocol, and the local powerhouse, CV Labs, participate. Their presence further underlines the expo’s significance on the global stage. 

As the official web3 media ally, MarketAcross will lead pre and post-event marketing efforts, utilizing its industry experience to connect the media with event stories.

Unlike any other crypto event, NBX has reserved the entire CineStar Cubix at Alexanderplatz to provide an immersive blockchain experience.

The event runs on Monday and Tuesday, with the preceding weekend perfect for attendees to explore Berlin’s famous Christmas Market. 

The expo has gained support from local Berlin organizations, including CV Labs, Berlin Partner, Berchain, and Crypto Girls Club. The mobile app offers AI-driven matchmaking for over 1800 bespoke meetings, fostering invaluable connections and partnerships.

NBX’s community-centric approach stands out, with over 50 web3 communities anticipated to join hands. Their “community-led discussion panels” ensure the event remains collaborative. One community in Berlin, Crypto Girls Club, will be organizing its traditional Glühwein event. The group will host a dedicated networking session for women in the web3 space during the event. 

Web3 enthusiasts have much to look forward to at NBX 2023, with two dedicated startup zones: the Startup Demo Zone and the Web3 Gaming Zone, a collaboration with the Blockchain Game Alliance. 

The Pitch Arena is another feature of the expo, offering startups the chance to possibly secure investments with the presence of industry experts like Robby Yung from Animoca and Miko Matsumura from gumiCryptos.

Crypto traders can showcase their skills and compete for a grand prize of 15,000 EUR in the Trading Battle, sponsored by SimpleFX. The awards ceremony will also recognize outstanding web3 companies across six categories.
