Bitdeer completes its Bhutan mining facility

Crypto cloud mining service platform Bitdeer has completed the construction of its new mining facility in Bhutan.

The company explained that at the end of July, they had acquired approximately 23,000 newly purchased mining machines, with 7,000 additional machines currently in transit to the Gedu Datacenter.

The CEO of Bitdeer, Linghui Kong, said in a press release that the power-on testing was already underway. Around 11,000 miners are running stably, and an additional 15,000 mining machines arrived at the data center in July.

The company works in three directions: self-mining, hash rate sharing, and hosting.

During the last few months, the company has been partnering with the Bhutan government for the release of its new mining facility.

Bitdeer is seeking to expand its presence in the Southeast Asian country. The company has been facing criticism regarding the environmental impact that its new mining facility could have.

Bitdeer is already running mining data centers in other countries, such as the US and Norway, along with its partner, Druk.
