Lifestyle app STEPN GO expands Adidas partnership with physical NFT sneakers
Adidas and STEPN GO introduce 1,200 limited-edition Ultraboost 5 sneakers, available exclusively to NFT holders.
STEPN GO, a new version of the move-to-earn game Stepn, has teamed up with the international sportswear manufacturer Adidas with the release of the co-branded physical running shoes. According to a press release shared with crypto.news, the limited-edition STEPN GO x Adidas Ultraboost 5 sneakers will feature the STEPN GO logo, with the shoes set to be available starting Dec. 13.
Stepn says the move marks a new chapter in the brands’ collaboration, which began in April with the STEPN Genesis NFT collection. Following the success of previous digital releases, the introduction of physical sneakers signals a shift “from digital collectibles to tangible products that people can wear, showing just how far the web3 space has evolved,” says Shiti Manghani, CEO of STEPN.
For the campaign, only 1,200 pairs of the co-branded Ultraboost 5 will be available, making it a limited drop aimed at holders of the STEPN and STEPN GO x Adidas Genesis NFTs, the press release reads.
The shoes will be sold on the MOOAR marketplace only, with raffles for the sneakers taking place from Dec. 13 to Dec. 17. STEPN and STEPN GO x Adidas Genesis NFT holders will get priority access, but the general public will also be able to participate in the contest and raffles. Winners will be able to claim their shoes between Jan. 6 and Jan. 22, 2025, with a three-week trading period allowing resale opportunities.
