Radisson Hotel to accept Shiba Inu payments in Georgia
In a bold stride toward the fusion of hospitality and digital currency, Radisson Hotel, an esteemed global hotel group, is now accepting shiba inu (SHIB), bitcoin (BTC), and ethereum (ETH) for reservations in its Georgian branch.
This announcement comes shortly afterward Elon Musk changed Twitter’s logo to DOGE’s one, quickly reigniting the curiosity surrounding meme tokens.
Crypto users can now easily settle their hotel bills using SHIB, BTC, and ETH via Binance Pay. Crypto enthusiasts and globetrotters noticed this development unveiled through Binance’s official Twitter handle.
The collaboration was made possible by the recent alliance between Binance and CityPay, an up-and-coming payment service provider that caters to businesses of all sizes with many payment processing solutions.
CityPay quickly expressed its excitement for the partnership, echoing Binance’s announcement.
A crypto-fueled future for Georgia
The ramifications of this partnership stretch far beyond the walls of Radisson Hotel, as more than 600 merchant stores utilizing CityPay’s integration in Georgia will also welcome Shiba Inu and other supported digital assets.
This widespread adoption lays the groundwork for an even greater embrace of cryptocurrencies throughout the region, potentially inspiring other businesses to hop on the crypto bandwagon. For instance, Binance added a Georgian hub to its map in March.
Since adding support for SHIB in November, Binance Pay has been forging partnerships to enable payments in SHIB and its 70+ supported assets.
