Tether launches educational program aimed at developing Web3 skills
Stablecoin issuer Tether (USDT) is launching an educational program called Tether Edu.
According to the Tether’s announcement, as part of Tether Edu, the company will increase the availability of digital product development skills and coordinate various educational programs. Program participants will have access to multiple courses, workshops, and master classes from top experts.
Tether Edu will cover markets around the world. However, the main focus is on developing countries in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Asia.

According to the website, Tether offers education in the following categories: design, social media management, programming and development, AI, and blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The company is also hiring employees to help advance its education mission throughout the region.
The launch of Tether Edu is not the company’s first initiative in the education sector. Last year, the USDT issuer entered a cooperation agreement with the Business and Technology University (BTU) in Georgia. The goal of cooperation is to develop education in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. In December 2023, Tether announced that it had participated in the Series A round of the Academy of Digital Industries educational project in Georgia.
At the same time, Tether Holdings Limited reported a “record” $2.85 billion in profit in the fourth quarter of 2023. According to the report, as of Jan. 31, 2024, the company’s total assets were $97.02 billion, with excess reserves estimated at $5.4 billion. Most of Tether’s assets consist of US Treasuries worth $80.3 billion.
