Contentos (COS), a blockchain-based global content ecosystem that claims to be focused on building a decentralized censorship-free digital content community, has announced that its Vietnamese community has launched its NFT collection on the Contentos mainnet, in collaboration with the Contentos Foundation.
Per a press release by the team, the Contentos Vietnamese community, which currently boasts more than 1,000 local blockchain enthusiasts and content creators has successfully launched and distributed their NFT PFP collection named Goldstar MetaClub.
The unique digital collectibles, which are currently on sale on the OpenSea NFT marketplace, capture the values of the Vietnamese community and have gained the backing of the Contentos Foundation, making the collection one of the first NFT projects to go live in the COS.SPACE metaverse.
For the uninitiated, SPACE is the digital collectibles real estate of the Contentos ecosystem and will also be interoperable with other Web3.0 content platforms. The team says each SPACE is a unique ERC-721 NFT on the Ethereum network. SPACE holders can build their unique digital collectibles upon it and exhibit their creative works.
Unwavering Support
While Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies still face harsh regulations in parts of the Asian continent such as China, India, and a host of others, Vietnam, a Southeast Asian nation with a population of just over 98 million, has wholeheartedly embraced crypto.
According to a fresh research report released by blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, Vietnam currently occupies the number one position in terms of global crypto adoption.
Now, Contentos has revealed that its Vietnamese community has been one of its strongest supporters since its inception, undertaking activities such as the operation of block-producing nodes on the Contentos mainnet, staking more than 200 COS tokens, while also promoting the Contentos decentralized content ecosystem.
What’s more, the team has made it clear that the Contentos Vietnamese community has been quite active on COS.TV, the proprietary video distribution and digital asset management platform powered by the Contentos blockchain.
The community has also created COS.TV content creator guilds that are dedicated to producing content that fosters crypto education and more. The community also conducted an offline meetup that attracted over 200 participants in Ho Chi Minh last April.
Commenting on the launch of the Vietnam GoldStar MetaClub collection, Mick Tsai, the CEO of Contentos said:
“NFT PFPs such as GoldStar MetaClub supported by Contentos are all in the ERC-721 standard, and holders can display them on COS.TV, their personal Instagram digital collection, and other platforms that support the ERC-721 token standard. This greatly expands the influence of COS.TV creators, and creates an opportunity for a wider audience to better understand and engage with the Contentos ecosystem. We will continue to support NFTs and content created by Contentos creators and communities.”
Though NFT trading volumes have tanked significantly this year due to the crippling crypto winter, more and more entities continue to join the NFT bandwagon.
On October 4, 2022, reports emerged that Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida has made it clear that the government plans to actively promote the nation’s Web3 ecosystem, including NFTs and the metaverse.
