The Ethereum blockchain-based metaverse, Decentraland (MANA), recently announced a set of upgrades and improvements to the platform. These changes have caused a fast rally for MANA’s price in the last seven days.
According to CoinMarketCap (CMC) data, MANA is trading at $0.695 at the time of writing, down by 6% in the past 24 hours. However, despite the correction, Decentraland’s utility token leads the top cryptocurrencies on the seven-day change column with a 72% increase over the past week.
Per a tweet by Decentraland’s official account, users will now have more options to customize their avatars in the platform’s blockchain-based metaverse. Moreover, links have also been added to user profiles with a new friend request flow.
According to the tweet on Jan. 12, Decentraland has also added differentiated name tags for users, which would allow them to connect better than before.
On Jan. 6, the browser-based metaverse announced an architectural event created by Dearch.space and Metancy. The event, called First metaverse architecture & design biennale embassy opening, was expected to host 50,000 creators, architects, public speakers, etc.
Furthermore, one of the latest additions to Decentraland’s family is a metaverse-based news outlet, TheDCLReport, which aims to cover the events and incidents within the browser-based metaverse.
