Sorare Partners with the MLSPA of the U.S., to Mint over 1,000 MLS Player Card NFTs
Sorare, in a tweet on May 25, has announced the launch of the first phase of Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) 2021 cards.
A Marathon Week for Football Fantasy Fans
It precedes other key events scheduled in the next five days, including the release of over 1,000 MLS players’ cards and over 3,000 MLSPA card auctions.
Out of this, there will be 150 super rare cards and 15 unique cards.
Sorare is one of the world’s leading football fantasy games that changes the interaction between soccer clubs and fans.
By integrating NFTs, each player’s card is unique, fully licensed, and owned by the buyer once auctioned. Underneath each card, the Ethereum blockchain provides security and provenance.
The MLSPA Joins Footballing Titans
The MLSPA would join over 140 soccer clubs, including European giants playing for some of the most prestigious leagues like La Liga, Serie A, and the Premier League.
In late April, Sorare announced their support for five Serie A teams–Cagliari Calcio, Genoa CFC, Hellas Verona FC, U.C. Sampdoria, and Udinese Calcio.
Beyond that, Sorare has onboarded some of Latin America luminaries associated with legends. In mid-May 2021, as BTCManager reports, Sorare announced its partnership with Boca Juniors of Argentina. The soccer club nurtured the legendary Diego Maradona, who played, winning top honors and later coaching the team.
