Binance delisting sends QUICK down 20% and EPIC 11%
Binance has announced plans to delist Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) on October 28, triggering sharp price declines as the exchange prepares to remove both cryptocurrencies from spot and derivatives trading.
- Binance will remove Epic Chain and QuickSwap from all spot trading pairs on October 28.
- QUICK fell 19.67% over 24 hours, while EPIC declined 10.54%, according to supplied CoinGecko figures.
- Binance will automatically settle affected futures contracts on October 20, before removing spot trading pairs.
- Deposits will stop being credited October 29, while withdrawals remain supported until December 28.
- Binance identified liquidity, development, security, and project commitment among its criteria for reviewing listed assets.
Binance confirmed the decision on October 14 following its latest review of listed digital assets. All spot trading pairs involving EPIC and QUICK will close at 03:00 UTC on October 28, with affected derivatives and other services ending earlier. The announcement coincided with losses across both tokens, although their immediate trading responses differed.
Binance delisting sends QUICK and EPIC prices lower
According to CoinGecko data, QuickSwap traded at approximately $0.008169 after falling 19.67% over 24 hours. The token had lost 15.52% over seven days, with its market capitalization falling to approximately $5.37 million.

QUICK recorded around $1.47 million in daily trading volume, while its circulating supply stood at approximately 660 million tokens. The latest decline followed Binance’s announcement that all spot markets involving the cryptocurrency would close before the end of October.
Epic Chain experienced a smaller daily percentage decline during the same reporting period. EPIC traded near $0.4001 at press time, down 10.54% over 24 hours and 16.10% over the preceding seven days.
The token’s market capitalization stood at approximately $13.48 million, with daily trading volume reaching $10 million. CoinGecko placed its circulating supply near 34 million EPIC.

Trading data from the minutes following Binance’s announcement showed QUICK falling approximately 10% below its price immediately before the notice. About 17 minutes later, the token remained 6.69% below that earlier level.
EPIC initially declined roughly 9% before recovering during the same short observation period. It subsequently traded approximately 5.61% above its pre-announcement price, according to the intraday TradingView figures supplied with the report.
The short-term recovery did not prevent EPIC from recording a negative 24-hour performance in the later CoinGecko snapshot. The two measurements cover different periods and should not be treated as equivalent price changes.
Previous Binance token removals in August affected six cryptocurrencies, including PIVX and Vulcan Forged PYR. The exchange announced separate trading, futures and withdrawal deadlines for those assets following its periodic review.
Why is Binance removing EPIC and QUICK?
Binance said its latest review determined that Epic Chain and QuickSwap no longer met the exchange’s requirements for continued listing. However, the announcement did not identify a specific violation or individual reason behind either token’s removal.
The exchange assesses several factors when reviewing cryptocurrencies, including trading volume, liquidity, development activity and the commitment of project teams. It examines network security, communication with tokenholders and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Changes to token supplies, project ownership and leadership are further considerations. Binance may remove an asset when its review finds that the cryptocurrency no longer satisfies its listing standards.
Both QUICK and EPIC had previously received Binance’s Monitoring Tag, which identifies assets subject to closer scrutiny because of their risk characteristics.
QUICK received the designation on April 30, while EPIC was added on May 22. The labels remained in place for months before the October 14 delisting decision.
Binance warns that monitored tokens may eventually be removed if they fail subsequent reviews. However, the designation does not automatically result in a delisting, and tagged cryptocurrencies can continue trading while the exchange conducts further assessments.
In August, Binance placed five additional cryptocurrencies under closer review, including ICON, Moonbeam and Moonriver. The exchange said monitored assets faced potential removal if they failed future assessments.
The October 14 notice confirms that EPIC and QUICK have moved beyond the monitoring stage to a scheduled removal from Binance’s spot markets.
Binance futures and margin services close October 20
The delisting process will begin before the October 28 spot trading deadline, affecting customers using leverage, loans and automated trading services.
On October 15, Binance will stop supporting EPIC and QUICK through its Buy & Sell Crypto service at 03:00 UTC. Margin borrowing involving the affected tokens will be suspended at 06:00 UTC.
October 20 brings several additional restrictions. Binance Pool and Binance Pay will stop supporting the tokens at 03:00 UTC, while outstanding VIP Loan and Flexible Loan positions will be closed at 07:00 UTC.
Binance Futures will prevent traders from opening new EPIC and QUICK positions beginning at 08:30 UTC. At 09:00 UTC, remaining futures contracts will be automatically settled and removed from the platform.
The exchange warned that additional protective measures could be introduced during periods of unusual volatility. Possible changes include leverage limits, maintenance margin requirements and funding rates.
At 10:00 UTC, Binance Margin will remove the tokens from cross, isolated and portfolio margin services. Remaining positions may be closed automatically, with collateral sold or used to settle outstanding liabilities where applicable.
The exchange advised customers to close affected positions before the scheduled deadlines. It warned that account adjustments during the removal process could become temporarily unavailable.
On October 21, Spot Copy Trading will remove affected pairs at 03:00 UTC. Remaining holdings may be sold at market prices or moved to users’ spot accounts if the assets cannot be sold.
Binance Simple Earn will discontinue support after 07:00 UTC the same day. Outstanding Flexible and Locked Product positions will be automatically redeemed, with principal and accrued rewards transferred to spot accounts.
EPIC and QUICK withdrawals end December 28
Following the earlier service restrictions, Binance will begin removing its remaining conversion and trading services for the two cryptocurrencies.
The platform’s low-value asset conversion feature will stop supporting EPIC and QUICK on October 27 at 02:00 UTC. Binance Convert will remove the tokens and their associated pairs on October 28 at 02:00 UTC.
One hour later, all remaining EPIC and QUICK spot trading pairs will close. Binance will automatically cancel outstanding spot orders, while trading bots connected to those markets will stop operating.
Customers will no longer receive credit for deposits of either cryptocurrency after 03:00 UTC on October 29. The exchange has instructed users to avoid depositing the tokens after that deadline.
Withdrawals will remain available until 03:00 UTC on December 28, giving customers additional time to move their holdings to supported external wallets or other platforms.
Binance said balances remaining after December 29 could be converted into stablecoins on behalf of customers. However, the exchange emphasized that conversion is “not guaranteed.”
A separate notice will be issued if Binance decides to carry out such conversions. Where conversion is not possible, the exchange said it may keep withdrawals available, subject to network conditions.
The company’s October 14 notice did not announce whether the EPIC or QUICK project teams would provide alternative trading arrangements, token migrations or other support for affected Binance users.
