Rimowa further stated that its NFTs would be forged into 888 limited-edition physical suitcases. According to the luggage company, this is a “nod to the number symbolising luck in the crypto community”. The new release will also feature 2222 RTFKT x RIMOWA WorkerBots for Web3 enthusiasts.
Starting October 27, users will begin to access the RIMOWA x RTFKT Space Station in the Metaverse to mint their NFTs and acquire a limited edition of the new suitcase.

Preceding the launch of the new NFT on October 27th, RTFKT and RIMOWA have created an interactive campaign and have invited the crypto community to solve challenges to uncover a hacked RIMOWA x RTFKT Space Station. Users must reactivate the space station to mint their limited edition NFTs.
Following the challenge will be an exclusive digital event, where NFT holders can forge their assets to redeem a physical version of the suitcase. Also, several other physical and digital assets created by RIMOWA and RTFKT will be released at the forging event. These will include four different Avatar Wearables, as well as the digital and physical iterations of the suitcase.
At the event, the crypto community will also have the chance to buy one of the RIMOWA x RTFKT WorkerBots.

With the new alliance, Rimowa seeks to promote the involvement of physical brands in the Web3 Space.
Speaking on the new partnership in a recent release, Emelie De Vitos, Chief Marketing Officer at RIMOWA, said;
“This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity for two brands who excel in their fields to come together to create products that can live both in the digital and physical realm. To enter the Metaverse with RTFKT is truly exciting, as it allows us to explore what travel means there. It’s a space that takes creativity and collaboration to great heights and offers new ways to engage with different audiences”.
RTFKT Co-Founder Benoit Pagotto has also expressed delight at the new collaboration. According to him, “working with RIMOWA has been a dream of ours since day one. Who wouldn’t be honored to be able to bring their iconic designs into our world and create a spaceship, robot and travel tools for Web3 builders and hackers? … We can’t wait for people to see the physical luggage, and to discover their Clone Wearables once they forge”.
