Rarible NFT marketplace taps Polygon chain
Amidst increasing demands for adopting Polygon, the blockchain, Rarible announced on Jan. 18 the launch of its marketplace builder for Polygon-based non-fungible token (NFT) collections.
Just like it did with Ethereum in August 2022, the availability of the Rarible infrastructure on polygon will henceforth allow existing NFT creators to develop their customized marketplace.
Recall that in October 2022, the platform initiated a series of upgrades, one of which was the ability to aggregate other NFT listings from competitor marketplace; it also hinted at the possibility of doing an airdrop for it’s decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) governance token called Rari.Â
Rarible co-founder Alexei Falin in a statement, said Polygon chain ticked all the boxes for the requirement of its marketplace builder tool.
Polygon is likely the darling of the moment
The Polygon chain has been getting a lot of engagements in the past few months. Polygon became a cynosure of adoptions after the success of Reddit’s collectible avatars.Â
It also gained more traction in December after former U.S. President Donald Trump’s NFTs were launched on it.Â
These developments have been preceded by other high-profile collaborations from big brands like y00ts, DeGods, Magic Eden, Nike, Samsung, Starbucks Odyssey program, and many other projects working towards exploring web3.Â
