Shiba Inu announces metaverse Rocket Pond preview

Shiba Inu’s metaverse project, Shib: The Metaverse, has announced that it will reveal a sneak peek of one of its 11 hubs, Rocket Pond, in the coming days.

The announcement comes after the opening of a giveaway competition by Shib: The Metaverse, to mark the debut of its official Twitter account on April 11. The competition will award ten plots of land to the winners and is expected to end on April 30.

Participants who wished to enter the giveaway were instructed to follow the new Twitter account and retweet the announcement. 

The metaverse team is yet to reveal the exact date it intends to unveil the secrets of Rocket Pond, but it is assumed that the new reveal will take place after the team wraps up the giveaway contest.

Shiba Inu’s Rocket Pond

Shib: The Metaverse, is among the 11 hubs featured in the Rocket Pond hub. The name Rocket Pond is a play on the crypto word “Rockets”, which denotes the potential for an asset’s value to explode.

Shiba Inu released a black and white sketch of the Rocket Pond Hub in September 2022. Three days later, it published another colorful hub concept to preview its appearance when it went live.

This followed the SXSW 2023 music festival in Austin, Texas, which featured an exclusive peek of one of the hubs named WAGMI Temple in March 2023.

With its crystal clear waters, abundant wildlife, and resort buildings that populate the mountain, Rocket Pond is intended to give visitors the impression that they are in a mountain resort hidden from view. 

Various American destinations are said to have influenced the hub’s architectural design, including Glenwood Caverns and Lake Tahoe.

The team behind Shib: The Metaverse, is optimistic that the project will redefine the future of gaming and enhance players’ interaction with blockchain  technology.

The team has also promised to provide regular updates and inform the community about the project’s development.
